Here it is. My very own speech pathology blog. It is something I have been thinking about starting for a few months now. I love searching Pinterest and reading blogs by other SLPs to find inspiring things to incorporate into my own therapy room. But my lists of ideas and therapy resources was getting too long, so I finally started School House Talk as a way to keep everything centrally organized.
To me, it is important to keep therapy fun for my students, while still keeping their speech/language goals the center of each session - I am not afraid to get silly! This blog will hopefully serve as a platform for me to organize and share the ideas I have, to discuss successes and difficulties I face at work, and to form friendships with other SLPs out there. So welcome! Take a look around, introduce yourself, and stay tuned for some exciting things!
P.S. My talented husband designed my blog header. Isn't it great?!
